Custom Design

I am a highly experienced Textile Designer and Watercolor Artist proficient in creating surface pattern designs for fashion, home decor, brand identity, packaging and more. Extensive experience has given me a visual vocabulary of what makes a conceptually strong design as well as the ability to tap into market trends. The seamless pattern repeats are developed from hand-drawn or hand-painted artwork in either Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or Procreate. Together we can create themed collections of coordinated patterns.

1. Design Brief

We speak about your vision. We discuss your company aesthetic. We collaborate on a general direction and design style: watercolor, vector or pen & ink. Establish a price based on complexity of artwork.

2. Moodboard

I create an interactive moodboard with inspirational images & sample color palettes. This works as a blueprint that guides the project & reflects the mood you want to create.

3. Pencil to Paper

The actual artwork begins with a hand-drawn pencil sketch. Once the elements are approved I create a sample of the pattern repeat. A corner section in color is then created.

4. Complete Artwork

Complete pattern design. The design is usually created with a transparent background for multiple base colors. Link to printing files are sent, 300 dpi in TIF, JPG, PDF or AI
